About Norwegian's Aqua Park:
The Norwegian Breakaway cruise ship is one of Norwegian Cruise Line's newest ships, having set sail on April of 2013 out of New York City. With the ship's main port being New York City, the ship itself is decorated and designed with New York themes and murals within and outside many parts of the ship, giving it an atmosphere of bringing the big apple with you overseas. Many of the ship's ports include Orlando, Nassau, and Bermuda.
Sitting on top of the vessel is one of the biggest and most unique aqua park complexes ever built on a cruise ship. 5 WhiteWater West brand body slides, including two aqualoops, were built above decks 16, 17, and 18 and are very visible from off of the ship.
The intensity of each slide range from beginner sliders, to those looking for something much more thrilling. The small Family Slide would be easy for those not comfortable enough for the other taller slides that tower above, but can offer quick enough speeds for anybody to enjoy with the additions of the tight curves. The Whip slides warp around each other and offer a simple, but quick spiral to the end; with the purple slide offering a bit more of a kick due to its tighter radius. Towering above them all, the ship's dual aqualoop slides Free Fall offer the biggest thrills, from its trap-door drop beginning to the high-g upward incline before coming to the end.
